St Mary’s Church in the German town of Rostock was built in the 13th century and enlarged at the end of the 14th century into the present cross-shaped basilica. These are pictures of the church’s astronomical clock built in 1472 by Hans Düringer. It shows the daily time, zodiac, moon phases, and month and has a calendar or calendarium, which is valid until 2017.
